I am just learning that in order to try and eventually license one of my ideas I am going to have to pick up the phone and call some prospective companies, instead of taking my normal cowards way out and emailing them. I just have that dread of trying to sell myself and my idea by phone, although I guess with an initial call to get a name, then follow up with emailing a sell sheet at least hopefully the drawings will sell the ideas themselves.
Anyway, back to the point of this post, there are are couple of lists on the internet which show inventor friendly companies where you can submit invention ideas to. These are companies which openly are willing to look at ideas from outside their company doors and perhaps a way to start you company search. As with anything you need to check all their submission guidelines carefully as I notices some only accept patented inventions and some may not guarantee to renumerate an inventor. You will also want to do a bit of a search on the company, to check their reputation. Please note also that some of these links may contain duplicate entries.
