In this inventor interview I talk to Betsy Kaufman whose “Eggies” idea was chosen as an Edison Nation invention winner in the “As seen on TV” category. Eggies is a kitchen cooking gadget which lets you cook hard boiled eggs without the shells, saving all the messy peeling. Betsy talks about how the Edison Nation invention process works and how she felt when she found out she was a winner.

Quote from Betsy:

Eggies“I really feel that Edison Nation levels the playing field with ‘idea’ people and real hard core ‘inventors’. It’s a company that puts the same amount of validity in a raw idea, as a fully developed invention.

That is of course the ONLY way this would have, or could have happened to me! No prototype, no drawing, nothing but an idea—and a well written description. So am I AMAZED that this has happened? Absolutely! It’s truly hard to even wrap my brain around! I seem to have an adrenaline rush everyday!

My family and friends call me ‘The Accidental Inventor”!!!  Pretty funny—-but Oh So True!”
